Echo – transducer antifouling

Echo transducer antifouling paint is used to protect the transducer of a sonar fish finder or depth sounder (echo sounder).

Instructions for the fitting of echo sounders indicate that normal antifoul should not be used on the transducer because solvents damage the transducer, the electrical conductivity of the paint reduces the signal and traditional thick antifoul reduces signal strength.

Echo is water-based, contains no copper, produces a thin film and therefore minimises the impact on the transducer.

Eurosprint Next – Antifouling

Hard-matrix antifouling paint with high copper content to ensure excellent protection. Eurosprint is an antifouling suitable for antifouling protection in sea water, brackish water and fresh water.

A hard antifouling, with good abrasion resistance, Eurosprint is recommended for sail boats and fast motor boats (also faster than 35 knots). Can be used for boats made of wood, steel or GRP.

Only the white Eurosprint is suitable for aluminium boats.

Lightspeed – Antifouling Propspeed

Underwater lights are just as susceptible to marine fouling as any other underwater surface which can result in reduced visible light, and efforts to remove barnacles can result in damaged lighting components. Lightspeed has been endorsed by Lumishore and is a transparent coating that is an easy and affordable way for boat owners to reduce maintenance, protect their investment, and maintain lighting system performance. Lightspeed has been shown to save three times its retail value in maintenance costs, on top of the unquantifiable damage to marine ecosystems caused by traditional antifouling products.

The kit includes:

  1. Lightclean wipe
Lightclean has been specially formulated to remove impurities, grease and contaminants from the light surface. The Lightclean solution comes pre-packaged with a wipe to make your job easier.
  2. Application brush
A small, high quality brush is included to provide the best result during the application of the Lightspeed coating.
  3. Clear coat 15ml
This kit contains 15ml of Lightspeed Clear Coat, a non-toxic, silicone topcoat which forms a super slick outer layer that marine growth cannot adhere to, keeping your lights shinning bright.

Coverage rate for a 15ml kit: 1ft² / 0.1 m²

Propspeed kit propeller A/F

With an ultra-slick topcoat, Propspeed is specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. It is proven to increase boat efficiency, reduce drag and save fuel and maintenance costs. It features an exceptionally strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal substrate, the Etching Primer and the Clear Coat– ensuring that the Propspeed coating actually sticks to your running gear and performs season after season.

Propspeed also reduces the risk of corrosion by electrically isolating the metal, as well as limiting the exchanges between the ions and the gases contained in the water and the metal. In short, if a reaction can’t occur, there will be no corrosion!

The Propspeed system is best used on propellers, shafts, struts, rudders, trim tabs, keel coolers, bow and stern thrusters, pod drives, sail drives and other underwater metal.

Coverage guide:

  • 1 propeller: 119-142cm / 47-56″
  • 2 propellers: 79-117cm / 31-46″
  • Surface: The Propspeed Large Kit will coat a surface of 3.4m²

Raffaello Νext – Antifouling

Premium hydrophilic-matrix antifouling paint with high copper content and carbon added for excellent performances. Effective in warm and temperate seawater, brackish and fresh water.

Raffaello is self-polishing with progressive solubility and therefore suitable for medium-speed motor boats as well as for sailboats. The thickness of this antifouling is reduced progressively during service, avoiding an excessive increase of the antifouling layer also after the application of several coats.

Only the white Raffaello is suitable for aluminium boats.
